Our Head Chef: Jesse Teh
Jesse is born and raised in Sydney, Australia where his family owns and operates restaurants and cafes. He has been cooking professionally for 10 years in a variety of restaurants including Est. in Sydney (under chef Peter Doyle), Jonahs Boutique Hotel (under Exec chef Alfonso Ales formally of El Bulli) and the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.
Jesse has travelled to many parts of the world cultivating his knowledge of food and gastronome. He has become obsessed with home-grown ingredients and quality grow-your own produce. When he travels he loves to immerse himself in the fresh seasonal ingredients of the region.
He joined Secret Ingredient in early 2013 and creates all of our recipes, sauces, and loves watching people enjoy our meals. Jesse describes his cooking style as “Modern Australian” with a clear focus on top quality ingredients using new age techniques which at times can be the most simplistic, humble meals.
